After Katie's parent's became sick, KatieSparapani had decided to move out on her own. She did not have the fortune to buy a mansion. There were no homes for sale, and everyone knows she was not about to move into the slums!
It had not taken her long to settle down in her new home. She was quickly aqquainted. All the furniture she bought with her own money, and it was all in good shape. Many people that saw her apartment decided she was rich, but, the truth was otherwise.
Most of her time in her new home, was spent cooking. Katie always had a knack for the culinary arts, she was always excited to prepare a meal. But unfortunately, these meals were for herself... It was not long after this humble 16 year old moved in, that the Police called her, telling her of the news about her brother Charlie, that had just died. Pain over took the young girl. Both of her parents were now dead. Many times Katie offered to take in her brother, but Social Services said she was too young.
Katie cried for Charlie for about 9 months, when she decided that it was best, she would not be able to care for his needs, and with out parents he would be sent to an orphanage. God had decided, and that was how it was going to be.
Katie sighed, she had just recalled all of the events over in her head, while staring at a computer screen. She was searching for a job, cooking or waitressing to be exact. She couldn't find anything and was close to resorting to the newspaper. Other thatn this her day, as previous others, were exremely uneventful. She studied a little bit, for exams, did the laundry, and cleaned her apartment, there was nothing more che could do, except, watch television, which, she belived, was the last resort. She scrolled down a bit more on her page, then quickly turned off her computer, nad walked into the living room, to watch an episode, of sex in the city....
